CHALLENGE

In the responsible position of the Mobile Lead, the future position holder is accountable to build the next generation of our Business Travel Club iOS and Android Mobile Apps based on the Flutter SDK. As a Mobile Lead, your main responsibility will be the development and maintenance of our mobile applications and their integration with our backend services. In the process, you will be working with multiple teams of different crafts, therefore experience in working in dynamic teams, as well as collaborative problem solving and creating quality user experiences is essential.

• Own the development of our mobile applications, with a focus on user experience and good software architecture
• Lead & coach a team of motivated engineers
• Passion for agile software development, product discovery, and continuous deployment
• Write clean, tested, and well-documented code
• Strong understanding of quality assurance as a task of the entire team to build the best experience for the users
• You'll be in charge of developing new features while working cross-functionally with backend engineers, designers, and our product team
• You follow the latest technological developments in the mobile application area with great interest and use them sensibly with us
• Together with Product Owners, Backend Engineers, and the mobile team you steer the mobile topic.

FOR THIS EXCITING MISSION YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH…

• A degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• Strong mobile engineering background with 5+ years of relevant, on-the-job experience
• Several years of experience as a mobile engineer with proven expertise in Flutter SDK, React Native, Java or Kotlin on Android, Objective-C or Swift on iOS
• Knowledge of security best practices and understanding of most common security vulnerabilities
• Strong understanding of the whole app development lifecycle, including automated testing, configuring the CI/CD pipelines, releasing, and monitoring
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and similar tools is a plus
• You have practical experience with Scrum and/or Kanban framework
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in English, spoken and written.
