ZaloPay was launched in 2016 with the ambition to tap into the new era of mobile-based financial service. Our aim is to educate Vietnamese users to acknowledge and acquire the latest tech-based payment methods that ease up the burden of having to cash with you all the time. 

The Accounting Engineering team is at the core of ZaloPay to empower mission-critical financial domains including Accounting, Finance and Business Operations. Engineers on the Accounting Engineering team build high-performant services, resilient data pipelines, and financial products for the Finance team led by ZaloPay’s CFO. The use cases include financial analytics and insights, accounting automation, auditing, financial planning & forecasting, and financial business intelligence. 

Responsibilities 

We’re looking for people with a strong background or interest in building successful products or systems. 

• Design, build, and maintain near real-time data pipelines, tooling and systems. Make direct business impact in some of ZaloPay’s most mission critical business domains including Accounting, Finance and Business Operations. 
• Build strict controls across pipelines to ensure super high accuracy for all financial transactions. Ensure accurate, reliable, and timely financial reporting delivered to a single source-of-truth financial data warehouse
• Work in an Agile & collaborative environment involving different stakeholders

• Experience with big-data technologies such as Apache Spark, Presto, Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, and OLAP. Anyway, we do love Apache Flink.
• Write high quality & maintainable code. We work mostly in JVM World. However, languages are the intellectual shell. We care much more about your mindset & general engineering skills
• Are interested in solving business problems for ZaloPay’s Accounting team.

The following skills would be nice to have: 

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or Cloud services, e.g. GCP, AWS... 
• Designing distributed systems at large scale
