WATA is actively looking for many Middle to Senior NodeJS Developers who have experience in NodeJS and AWS to join our dynamic development team. As a Node.js and AWS Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications and services using Node.js and Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet our clients' needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and develop server-side applications using Node.js, adhering to industry best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
   Create reusable, testable, and efficient code, ensuring high performance and scalability.
• Implement and maintain RESTful APIs and web services.
• Utilize AWS services and features, such as Lambda functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and EC2, to develop and deploy cloud-based solutions.
• Design and implement database structures and queries using technologies like MongoDB or PostgreSQL.
• Ensure the security and compliance of applications by implementing appropriate security measures and following AWS security best practices.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Perform code reviews and participate in team discussions to improve overall code quality and development processes.
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues, providing timely resolution and maintenance support.

Your skills and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Solid experience in developing server-side applications using Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and proficiency in building RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly Lambda functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and EC2.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js).
• Experience with database systems like MongoDB or PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in using version control systems, preferably Git.
• Understanding of agile software development methodologies and the ability to work in an agile team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Developer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
• Experience with serverless architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with other programming languages like Python or Java.
• Prior experience working in a cloud-based, scalable, and distributed application environment.
