Overview of job
- Manage the processes, and people responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organization’s products and development processes.
- The primary role of the QA Manager is planning, implementing, leading, and executing all aspects of Quality and Testing.
- Understand the day-to-day operational demands of a company, working within the corporate environment to the benefit of the entire QA team.
- Be a strategic business partner and contributor, understanding key business drivers, and building effective relationships throughout the organization.
- Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products and applications meet required specifications for quality, functionality, and reliability prior to delivery.
- Identifies and sets appropriate quality standards and parameters for products and applications.
- Communicates quality standards and parameters to the QA team, product development team, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinates product testing processes and may participate in product testing.
- Design and manage test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.
- Manage and conduct all testing processes including UAT, OAT, and SAT.
- Ensure that the testing environment is qualified compared to the production environment.
- Identifies and analyzes issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues.
- Review clients, customers, and users’ feedback.
- Ensures QA team productivity and identifies opportunities for greater efficiency and quality improvement.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirement
1. Education level
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or information systems; master’s degree in business or technology-related discipline preferred.
2. Knowledge & Experience
• 5+ years experience in quality assurance.
• Demonstrated capability to design and implement quality standards.
• Solid background in testing skills.
• Familiarity with the entire software development life cycle and test cycles (Unit, Regression, Functional, Systems, Stress & Scale, Smoke & Sanity)
• Understanding of existing QA best practices and methodologies to design, implement, and automate processes.
3. Soft skills
• Successful in owning business results and knows how to inspire the team to feel empowered and accountable for their decisions.
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to foster an open dialogue among all stakeholders that encourages respect and honesty.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite and testing tools.
