We are seeking a motivated Solution Architect to join the Enterprise Strategy and Architecture team at National Australia Bank. As a Solution Architect, you need to define the end-to-end technical architecture to support the delivery of the investment slate, guiding and influencing business delivery and ensuring alignment to target state technology.

You are an experienced Solution Architect who provides technical direction and leadership for the technology assers within the domain, across the technology lifecycle, maintaining and targeting state Architecture and Roadmap, informing the service backlog and sequencing.

In addition to your strong technical capability, you will be a proven team player, independent thinker, and have a collaborative attitude towards your work and colleagues.

Your Job Responsibilities

1. Lead the technical direction-setting for a story / epic / feature.
2. Deliver an end-to-end technical outcome for initiatives by orchestrating delivery across one or more domains. They identify service impacts. They understand how new and existing target states will be consumed to deliver and initiative. They work to shape and sequence initiative features on service backlogs.
3. Provide technical direction and leadership to the architecture team, across the technology lifecycle, creating and maintaining the Target State Architecture for each capability within the domain and mapping all components to the assest management system.
4. Align application roadmap to NAB technology strategy and architectural principles/patterns.
5. Perform architecture optimization, scaled modeling, various forms of walkthroughs design reviews
6. Drive the service feature backlog grooming and raises features, epics and stories as suited for delivery and providing architecture input into the prioritization of backlog items. Ensure capabilities external to the service are also identified a dependencies where appropriate.
7. Create impact analysis of functional and non-functional requirements and constraints on the business roadmap in the current business and technology environment including the regulatory impacts and risks.
8. Make the document architectural decisions to satisfy regulatory and compliance requirements for the domain.
9. Validate design artifacts for completeness, ensuring testability to enable effective change management of assessments within the domain.
10. Support “You build it, you run it” by participating in service production releases.
