While in pursuit of your mission, you will find yourself doing the following:
- Mobile App Development - Develop, test, and maintain high-quality mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms using React Native, ensuring excellent performance and user experience.
- Technical Expertise - Utilize your expertise in React Query, NodeJS, and other relevant technologies to create scalable and efficient app solutions.
- Agile Methodology - Collaborate within an Agile development environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to deliver features and enhancements effectively and on time.
- App Store Deployments - Manage the deployment process for both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, ensuring compliance with their guidelines and best practices.
- Cross-Platform Compatibility - Ensure that the mobile app functions seamlessly on various devices and screen sizes, offering a consistent user experience.
- Troubleshooting and Support - Diagnose and resolve technical issues and provide ongoing support for the app, addressing user feedback and performance optimization.
- Mortgage Industry Knowledge - Leverage your understanding of the mortgage industry to provide insights and solutions that enhance the app's relevance and user satisfaction.

- Proven experience in developing and maintaining mobile apps for both iOS and Android platforms using React Native.
- Good English communication skill.
- Strong proficiency in Typescript, with a track record of creating high-performance applications.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the end-to-end app development and deployment process, including App Store submissions.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and experience in working with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with a commitment to delivering high-quality, bug-free code.
- Mortgage industry knowledge is a plus, but not a requirement.
- A proactive and innovative mindset, with a passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Potentially Lead and mentor other developers in your group, especially around native app development
- Perform more complex development task and lead complicated development projects
- Potentially act as a development lead to a small group of developers.
- Responsible for assigning work and prioritizing tasks.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
- Willingness to work some Off Hours or Split Shifts as needed.

BeSmartee services some of the worlds’ largest banks and non-bank lenders.
BeSmartee was founded in 2006 by mortgage industry veterans at the onset of the housing crisis. As one of the original mortgage point-of-sale platforms, the founders recognized that the mortgage process could be improved by utilizing source-data and automation in order to streamline the consumer experience, increase data integrity for lenders and lead to a day where a consumer could enter fulfillment in minutes.
So, as young and eager entrepreneurs normally do, the founders jumped head-in first and designed the platform. Unfortunately, the mortgage crisis turned the world upside down and BeSmartee’s vision was put on hold. Fast forward to 2014, after exiting their respective mortgage lending and technology businesses, the founders started development of BeSmartee in 2014. Surprisingly, the original business plan and platform was years ahead of its time and BeSmartee quickly went live to the world at the beginning of 2016.
Since those humble beginnings, BeSmartee still stands behind its mission to make mortgages easy, fast, and transparent for both consumers and lenders.
