Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager (Japan Market) to join our dynamic team at SmartOSC, a leading digital agency specializing in delivering innovative solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end delivery process while being accountable for the P&L (Profit and Loss) of the division. This is an opportunity to lead high-impact projects, optimize processes, and drive growth within a fast-paced, creative environment.

P&L Management:

• Own and manage the division’s financial performance, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, and expenses to achieve financial targets and drive efficiency.

Project Delivery Leadership:

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple digital projects, ensuring they are on time, within scope, and budget.
• Act as the primary escalation point for project risks and issues, providing strategic resolutions.

Team Management:

• Lead and inspire cross-functional teams, including project managers, developers, designers, and strategists, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop team members to maximize their potential and performance.

Resource Management:

• Efficiently allocate and manage resources across projects to ensure optimal utilization and delivery success.
• Identify resource gaps and collaborate with leadership to address hiring or upskilling needs.

Client Management:

• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and alignment with their business objectives.
• Actively participate in client meetings to provide updates, insights, and recommendations.

Process Optimization:

• Continuously refine and implement delivery processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance productivity and quality.
• Drive innovation and best practices to maintain a competitive edge in the market.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in project management or delivery roles in IT/digital projects, with at least 3 years in a leadership position. Ability to manage teams on a day-to-day basis with minimum 50 members
• Ability to assess and manage risks at a project/organizational level
• Strong understanding of project management principals. Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to clients and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage and lead cross-functional teams. Experience in mentoring team members and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle complex situations and make decisions under pressure.
• Experience in client-facing roles with a focus on delivering value and maintaining high client satisfaction.
• Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements and driving efficiency within delivery teams.
• Fluent Japanese communication skills (both written and spoken) are required.
