ABOUT THE JOB
In this role we are looking for an experienced Engineer Manager to be accountable for managing resources and proving timelines for all projects and teams. This position requires a strong technical background to offer mentorship and guidance to engineering and QC teams and excellent leadership qualities to assist the Director of Engineering with people management.

YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Skills

• Have intermediate knowledge in cloud services, web, and mobile app development.
• Show an understanding of or willingness to learn about hardware products and firmware development.
• Have the ability to gain advance knowledge of FuelCloud products/structure/business to support technical teams, understand new initiatives, and provide accurate timelines.

Managing Resources & Timelines

• Effectively collaborate with engineer and qc teams on technical planning and project estimates.
• Coordinate projects and their interdependencies between the various domains in the company.
• Demonstrate a collaborative working style with Business Analysts to gather project knowledge and handle sprint planning.
• Accountable for determining timelines and resource allocations for all projects to meet milestones and company goals.
• Show advanced ability in identifying potential risks and rewards. Taking steps to prevent or mitigate any risks that could impact the project's desired outcomes.
• Accountable for reporting on team performance and status of projects to heads of departments.

Leadership Skills

• 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or lead role.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related engineering field is preferred.
• Solid understanding of Software Quality, DevOps environments.
• Have knowledge of AWS cloud services, web, and mobile app development.
• Have knowledge of and experience with PHP, React, Bash script, Python, C, C++, Swift, Kotlin or other relevant tech.
• Having knowledge of embedded systems is an advantage.
• Apply critical thinking to daily work to solve problems effectively.
• Consistently contribute positive feedback for the team’s improvement and success.
• Be willing to share ideas/techniques clearly and concisely with team members & stakeholders ensuring everyone is on the same page.
